Golden Crescent Habitat’s neighborhood revitalization program – A Brush with Kindness – helps preserve home ownership by partnering with homeowners struggling to maintain the exterior of their home, We can help with minor exterior repairs and yard cleanup.
When basic expenses exceed income month after month, home maintenance is the usual casualty. Years of deferred maintenance can cause a downward spiral of home deterioration and unsafe living conditions. By making minor repairs to houses, homeowners are able to continue to safely live in their homes.
If you are elderly or disabled or otherwise unable to maintain your home please fill out the application at the below and contact our Family Services Coordinator, at 361-573-2511 to setup an appointment to be considered.

* Demonstrate a need for assistance
* Have an income below 80% of area median income
* Own a house in the six-county Golden Crescent Habitat service area – DeWitt, Goliad, Jackson, Calhoun,Lavaca, Victoria
* Complete five hours of partnership hours.
