Dear Friends of Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity,
Because of your generosity, compassion, and belief in our mission, this year’s
2nd Annual Derby to Remember was an extraordinary success.
Together, our community raised more than $57,000 at the event,
and the proceeds will support families we serve through our
Repair Homes, Rebuild Hope Project in 2026.
We are deeply grateful to every sponsor, attendee, volunteer, donor, and supporter
who made this evening possible. Your support is doing more than repairing homes —
it is restoring safety, dignity, independence, and hope for our neighbors in need.
Currently, an estimated 55–65% of our repair applicants are disabled,
and approximately 50–63% are over the age of 65.
Every single day, Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity receives calls from individuals
and families desperately needing critical home repairs. Many are elderly homeowners
living in unsafe conditions, while others are disabled individuals struggling to improve
accessibility and maintain the homes they have spent years building their lives in.
These are our veterans, grandparents, widows, caregivers, and hardworking neighbors
who simply need a helping hand to remain safe in their homes.
Because of you, we can answer those calls with hope.
This year’s Derby to Remember also marked a powerful continuation of our partnership
with Prosperity Bank. We are incredibly thankful for their 27-year partnership and
already look forward to celebrating our
3rd Annual Derby to Remember fundraiser on April 30, 2027.
Perhaps most inspiring of all is that this year’s fundraising efforts nearly doubled,
and our individual donors tripled, demonstrating what is possible when a community
comes together with purpose and heart.
On behalf of everyone at Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity and Prosperity Bank,
thank you for investing in stronger homes, safer communities, and brighter futures.
“Give, and you will receive.” — Luke 6:38
With heartfelt gratitude,
